I’m at the point where I really want people to stop making fun of me being Asian, looking Asian and liking Asian things. I know that it’s a joke and stuff and I have been laughing, shoving it off, and have been whatever about it, but seriously I think that it’s getting too personal. Telling someone to stop looking Asian is an insult, in my opinion, because that’s who they are. How the fuck do you stop looking Asian? I can shave my head and I will look Asian. I can get plastic surgery and my blood will still be of Asian descent. It just bugs me how everything I am is a problem to everyone. The music I like, the way that I look, the way that I dress, the way that I sing, the way that I talk, the things that I think. What’s left for me to do if everything I do is pushing you to make fun of. As fake as you are, don’t push me to be fake, just cause you don’t want me to be unique and myself. I’m sorry you’re not proud of your own culture, but I am. I love where I came from. I love the people and the culture. I take pride in knowing the language. What do you have to stand for? Where can you say you came from? What things do you know about your own culture? I think it’s rather sad that people want to forget their roots. That’s what has shaped you. If you don’t like the way your people look, then you obviously are insecure about the way YOU look, cause that’s where you got it from. I love looking Vietnamese. I look good as a Vietnamese. Stop being Vietnamese? If I looked white or black then I wouldn’t be Kevin Phan. Mainly though, I could care less if you made fun of my hair, my clothes, or my music. But don’t make fun of my culture. Don’t tell me to be any less Vietnamese or Asian than I am. I am not going to fake who I am to be liked. Sorry you have to do that. Actually I am not that sorry.

• The music became too quiet halfway through my performance. I kept going and kept my energy. I couldn’t go full out cause I needed to hear my music. So sad about that!!
• My teacher said that I did a good job going without being phased >:D
• I did not enjoy doing my quiz in Pre-Calc
• I got lots of compliments on my hair and outfit
• I felt like a celebrity <3
• Imma go back to my homework now…YAY
